SCA MATHEWSTUDENTS FOR 2012-13! Recent Events (hope you didn't miss them!):
Dear SCA students and families, Welcome back to school! We are on our home stretch, in Trimester 3. This is the time for students to review and show all that they've been learning all year. Our continued focus is on academics, work ethic and student character. Thank you for continuing to work with your child's teacher. Home-school collaboration is key to student academic success! As always, if you are wondering how you can help with your child's education, please try the following: ~If you have a young student, read with your child 30 -60 minutes a night. The payoff will be worth your effort. ~If your student is older (2nd-6th grade), he/she should read daily on his/her own. SCA participates in the Accelerated Reading (AR) Program. So check that your child is selecting books that are at his/her appropriate reading level. Library books have stickers showing their AR levels. ~Volunteer in your child's classroom. An involved parent is a concerned parent. ~Check your child's backpack. It may sound simple, but the papers and the forms that you find in their backpack may have important information about homework, discipline, or upcoming events. Thank you for continued support, Claudia Barba, SCA Mathew Principal Jamie McGlasson, SCA Mathew VicePrincipal SpookFest -- A SuccessThank you to all the parents, grandparents, family members, and friends who supported Spookfest.
